Admissions: Visitation
Visitation
The Montessori
environment consists of a wide array of interesting materials,
significantly different from more traditional preschool or daycare
programs. The classroom truly must be observed and experienced
to be appreciated. We invite parents to visit the Center without
children to observe the program prior to enrollment. We can only
accommodate one family at a time, so these visits are arranged
by appointment on Tuesday or Wednesday at 9:30am.
The observation,
which will take 30 to 45 minutes, lets you get to know us a bit,
and to see how Montessori principles are put into practice here.
You'll have a chance to meet some of our staff and ask questions.
Before you come,
please see our guidelines for parents, "What
to Look for in a Montessori Classroom." You may wish
to print this and bring it in for notetaking during your observation
session.
Your visit will
fall during the morning Montessori program. For an overview of
a typical day, please see our Daily
Schedule.
Montessori Children's
Center is located in the southwest corner of San Francisco, near
San Francisco State University, in the Villa Merced complex,
at 80 Juan Bautista Circle. View Map.
